Picture description
This is the story of a girl who embarks on an adventure with her dog in search of a fruit that turns into a ghost arabesque tree.
The main figure is placed on the right side. The dog and the girl look into tomorrow, while they are bathed in a light that reflects from the left. In the lower left corner we can see the legendary fruit that grows on the arabesque tree that her grandfather told her about. In the background, we can find the the Nagara River and Mount Ibuki. Mount Ibuki is a sacred mountain that Yamato Takeru also visited and also appears in the Nihon Shoki (The Chronicles of Japan, the second oldest book on Japanese history). You can also see clouds with a Japanese pattern. In the center a cloud shaped like a whale is drawn.
You can see Leonardo da Vinci's golden perspective and the three-dimensional representation of the figures in the painting.
This is a memorable oil painting, which Shigeru Tanaka presented for the first time at the Hashima City Art Exhibition, and won the first grand prize.
